Global surface technology leader Wheelabrator will be showcasing the latest shot blast equipment solutions at METEF 2017.
The Wheelabrator team, along with Italian partner ProService, will be at Stand E36 in Hall 6 to guide visitors through the company’s full range of solutions for the foundry, forge and aluminium industry.
This includes high-performance manipulator blast machines, advanced airblast technology, as well as continuous and hanger-type blast machines. Applications range from desanding, decoring, deburring and surface finishing through to shot peening.
Wheelabrator’s solutions for heavy-duty environments deliver maximum machine uptime, as well as high efficiency and process control - often combined with advanced automation and handling options to create a continuous, efficient workpiece flow through the production line.
A CT-6 for Guido Glisenti
Italian foundry Guido Glisenti, a specialist provider of ductile iron castings to the automotive sector, has recently commissioned a new CT-6 shot blast machine from Wheelabrator at its site in Villa Carcina.
The new machine replaces a smaller CT-4 from 2002, increasing the maximum size of castings and improving processing speed and therefore capacity.
Centrepiece of all CT machines is a continuous apron conveyor that reliably tumbles parts for all-round blast coverage. The new machine at Guido Glisenti, with its six powerful U70x500 blast wheels, is designed to fit seamlessly into the high-end production line.
