A strong growth of the aluminium automotive components, and in particular of diecastings, in connection with the vehicle progressive weight reduction to cut consumption and emissions: this market scenario was the backdrop of the first International Forum for Advanced Light Material Applications in the Automotive Industry, held in the Franciacorta region and organized byIdra Group and the companies of the Foundry Star Alliance, the technological alliance between Idra, CoStamp, Fondarex, I.E.C.I, Støtek and Wollin to develop a new generation of highly-automated, flexible and interconnected diecasting cells. The two-day event encompasses workshops and B2B meetings, and is a great chance of technical dialogue for the actors in the automotive diecast component supply chain who will meet the managers of global carmakers such as Daimler, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, First Automobile Works and Tesla. Several contributions will be offered to a selected audience of 150 participants from 18 countries representing over 50 top-tier foundries as well as equipment and service suppliers.
