ASK CHEMICALS UNVEILS AT METEF 2017:

THE INOTEC TECHNOLOGY AND THE MINI-RISER TECHNOLOGY (SUBTITLE)

ASK Chemicals presents its added value product range to the Italian foundry industry during next Metef, which will be held in Verona next June 21st through 24th. ASK Chemicals INOTEC technology as well as silicate and cold box solutions will stand in the foreground.

The innovative technology of mini-risers
The EXACTCAST mini-risers offer more advantages in comparison with traditional risers. The EXACTCAST dramatically reduced riser segmentation section and the use of segmentation metal necks cut fettling costs (fig. 1). The formulation of the EXACTCAST mini-risers has a relatively small volume and a higher yield in comparison with other solution thus producing more castings with a single charge.

Fig. 1: A crucial factor affecting productivity of a foundry is the fettling needed on the finished cast parts. EXACTCAST mini-risers offer clear advantages over natural sand and exothermic feeder caps.

INOTEC: the organic-free binder solution
The INOTEC organic-free binder-based patented technology has already been used successfully for mass production. It produces low emissions and positively affects the casting properties. In comparison with traditional systems, INOTEC also offers advantages in the production process such as increased casting process productivity and a dramatic reduction of materials consumption for maintenance and assistance (Fig. 2). In 2014 the INOTEC technology was presented the BMW Innovation Award for sustainability.
