Ever since its inception Metef has been the world’s top showcase exhibition for the entire aluminium and non-ferrous metals manufacturing segment.

Metef dates back to 1996. It is an initiative of Al-fin Spa, the company that groups together the main Italian extruding companies, and which has now assigned the management of the exhibition to its subsidiary Edimet Spa. Edimet is the company leader in metal publishing, known as multimedia network in the sector.
Conferences, association gatherings, round-tables, corporate meetings and cultural events, unique opportunities for promotion and obtaining up-to-date information, set the backdrop to an event that has continued to grow - in terms of both exhibiting companies and surface area covered, as well as the quality and number of visitors.
Metef, together with Foundeq Europe, have also grown in international stature as a result of the involvement of domestic and international associations such as EAA, OEA, Cemafon, Estal, Face, Assomet-Centroal, Amafond, Assofond, Uncsaal, Aim, Aital-Qualital and ITA - not forgetting the consistent attendance of official delegations from across the world.
