With the 2017 edition, its eleventh, METEF redefines its strategy.
The expo of customized technology for the aluminium and innovative metals industry moves to odd years
and implements a global communication campaign
organized by Veronafiere and supported by Alfin Edimet’s publishing network.
November 2015– A technological multi-faceted hand is METEF new image, conveying and idea of innovation and customization at the same time as well as the all-Italian human touch capability to offer customized products and services. This hand will appear on every communication means, first of all on the new website www.metef.com, which has undergone complete renewal and is now more practical for exhibitors and visitors.
This image reflects the strategy that the organizers of METEF, along with Veronafiere, are promoting by means of Roadshows, personalized meetings and presentations at an international level. “METEF will represent the only appointment in the 2017 European exhibition calendar competent to offer a comprehensive showcase of the entire aluminium and innovative metals sector, which stands for the Italian economic system that closes ranks around a globally competitive and innovative production chain” stated Giovanni Mantovani, Managing Director of Veronafiere.
The synergy with Veronafiere is thus strengthened, which is focussed on promoting the event abroad with dedicated projects aimed at attracting international operators to the show and offering real business opportunities to the exhibiting companies.
USA, Partner Country to METEF: the 2017 edition has chosen the United States as partner country in order to promote and more easily convey the European firms’ know-how abroad, especially in the diecasting sector. The United States appreciate, use and increasingly ask for technologies that Europe can offer: according to many insiders this is why the next METEF will have considerable margins for further development.
On February 9th through 11th 2016, METEF will also organize an incoming initiative of buyers from the North American automotive sector. This initiative is in association with AIB (Industrial Association of Brescia), ProBrixia (Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Brescia), Chamber of Commerce of Brescia and ANFIA. The aim is to establish and consolidate trade exchanges and to develop industrial partnerships between the Italian and the American business worlds, and most of all to reinforce our brand identity on the domestic and international market by means of initiatives devoted to promote the internationalization of the Italian companies.
In addition to the traditional business sectors that are usually present at the show – from primary and secondary aluminium production and their processing and machining, to the diecasting and foundry production chains – METEF 2017 will enhance two specific sectors that express in full our country’s innovation capability: automotive and metals recycling. The automotive sector, flagship of the Italian industry, will be dedicated to the market revival by showcasing highly technological customized solutions; technical meetings and special activities will side the show in order to promote dialogue and contacts between the operators. Save the Weight is an initiative started with success during METEF 2014 and targeting the promotion of cases of excellence contributing to vehicle lightweight.
The metals recycling sector, a strategic link of METEF 2017 product chain, will be upgraded considering the crucial role played by aluminium and recycled metals within the global offer arena of raw materials, and keeping into account that Italy, along with Germany, has the highest number of recycling plants in Europe. Technical meetings and workshops will feature top experts in this sector, who will take stock of the most innovative technological developments.
Within the world of global expos in this sector, METEF stands out for offering a rich programme of siding events. Following the strategic partnership signed between METEF and the organizers of the international event Aluminium Two Thousand, the next edition of the above-mentioned meeting will take place at Veronafiere exhibiting centre during METEF 2017. The 2015 edition of Aluminium 2000 in Florence achieved widespread success with 430 people from 50 countries attending the event, which confirms the convention importance and the added value derived from the partnership with METEF for the next edition.
