The request by the aluminium sector for a meeting with one of the highest offices of the state, President Draghi, has been loudly received.
"Aluminum is the key material for the ecological transition on which the recovery of Italy and Europe must be based, as reiterated in Parliament by the Minister of Economy. The aluminium supply chain makes available to President Draghi and his government its proposals to combine economic recovery and sustainability" explained Mauro Cibaldi, President of Centroal - Centro Italiano Alluminio. "Enhance the value of recycled materials such as aluminum that avoid the production of waste and contribute to cutting emissions; support the investments of companies in new and even more efficient technologies for recycling that are within reach of our industry.
Centroal - Centro Italiano Alluminio - founded in 1954, represents the entire value chain of the Italian aluminium industry. It is part of ASSOMET, the National Association of Non-Ferrous Metals Industries (a member of Confindustria, the Confederation of Italian Industry). "We would like to ask Premier Mario Draghi for a meeting, because investing in the aluminium industry means catching up with the great global development trends taking place in the world. The Italian aluminum industry, entirely dedicated to recycling, has important leadership and great know-how that can be put at the service of the development of the country", concludes Cibaldi.
