Interview to Luca Cintura, Slayer Blades Srl
Your company participates in METEF. Can you tell us why you chose to be present?
Metef is one of the key events for the foundry sector in Italy, so it is essential to be present to witness how new additive technologies can affect the revitalization and development of this strategic sector for the country. Since our work can now be done remotely, meeting in person with our stakeholders is essential to establishing personal relationships, particularly when introducing ourselves to more conservative individuals.
What innovations will you present at the fair? What kind of benefits do they bring to operators in the sector?
Corsa3D, as Exone’s technical partner for Italy, plays a key role with its foundry service business because it is the center of most process innovations in this industry. Supporting the development and digitization activities of our clients, we accompany them in the transition from traditional to additive processes from both the design (casting simulations and lean design) and production (3D printed equipment in support or full replacement) perspectives of traditional equipment.
What is your message of invitation for aluminum professionals to visit your booth at METEF?
It is necessary to integrate additive processes with traditional ones with confidence and continuity in order to be able to expand the technical potential even to all those realities that have hitherto waited for more security in the transition. Young people coming out of technical schools today may have the skills needed to meet these technologies’ challenges. We must give them the tools to be able to test themselves because the future is today.
